The students on Gaulier
Having taken part in his workshops I can affirm that his approach does have startling results. Through games a warmth is achieved.
Kenneth Rea, The Times, London
Gaulier was brutally honest, constantly reminding me when I was rubbish. Without him, I really do doubt whether I would have any success in my field.
… He is also probably the funniest man I have ever met.
Sacha Baron Cohen
He’s the basis of everything I know. What he’s teaching is so right. He doesn’t let you get away with poor quality.
Linda Kerr-Scott, The Royal Shakespeare Company
Dear Philippe,
your school was one of the greatest creative experiences of my life. Thank You!
Emma Thompson
His approach is consistent. … The first lesson Gaulier teaches: We’re boring by nature. Not to be boring is an art that requires a lot of effort and a lot of practice. Audiences tend to be as unimpressed as Gaulier if we bore them. They will ignore us. This simple principle applies wherever we have to depend on the attention of others, e. g. where we try to convey information.
